Three Irish Archers travelled to Arizona at the end of March to take part in the 23rd annual Arizona Cup. The cup is one of the biggest tournaments in the U.S.

David O’Brien Qualified in 38th and finished in 33rd place after the knockout round.

Keith Hanlon Qualified in 23rd and succeeded in knocking out Ricio Genaro in the first round. In the second round Keith came up against Vic Wunderle. Keith took 2 points off Vic but ended up being knocked out by the US legend.

 Maeve Reidy qualified in 23rd place but really came into her own in the knockout rounds. Maeve dispatched Valentina Contreras in the first round and trashed Nicole Rasor 6 nil in the second round. In the 3rd round Maeve met 5th seed Khatuna Lorig and won the match 6-4 to proceed to the quarter finals.

 In the quarters Maeve met US number one Miranda Leek. Maeve took 3 pints off Miranda before finally being knocked out and finishing up in 5th place over all.
