Archery Ireland recognises that high performance athletes need a full support service behind them. To facilitate this Archery Ireland intend to finance support services for athletes who can make a case for the services that they require.
The Archery Ireland executive will allocate a budget for this each year and will allocate this to the athletes on the strength of their applications.
Support services may take the form of
- Coaching
- Physiotherapy
- Psychology
- Strength and Conditioning
- Nutrition
- Training & Lifestyle Planning
- Other Science Services (Based on Strength of Case)
Athletes wishing to apply for financial support for services will need to supply
- An Archery CV
- Training Logs from the Past Year
- Training Plan for the Coming Year
- Results and Scores from the Past Year
- A Proposal Supporting the Need and Intended Outcome for Each Support Service.
- Letter of recommendation from Coaches etc.
Athletes will need to indicate exactly what services they require.
They will need to indicate who will supply the service, indicate the service provider’s qualifications and accreditation, what the cost will be per session and how many sessions will be required. At the end the athlete will need to give the total cost for all services
Archery Ireland will evaluate the application based on the strength of the case put forward, how it may improve the performance of the athlete and the overall cost of the service. The athlete will be informed if all or some of the services requested have been approved. No services will be paid for that take place before the approval from the executive.
Once a service has been approved the athlete may start using that service. The athlete will need to pay for the service initially and will be reimbursed by Archery Ireland by producing the receipt from the service provider.
