Archery Ireland are delighted to announce that this year we have received €83,500 under the Sport Ireland Dormant Accounts Funding Programme for 2025.
The funding allocation represents an almost 10% increase on the record amount invested last year and represents double the amount allocated in 2023.
The DAF Programme funds projects and initiatives across a wide range of sports. These projects support the Government’s vision for delivering projects that address participation barriers for individuals from diverse communities, regardless of socioeconomic background, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and ethnicity. Further projects are providing targeted training and educational opportunities, provision of essential equipment and minor infrastructure, and enhancing volunteer engagement within underserved communities and with people with disabilities.
All funded initiatives will support at least one of the five core pillars of the Sport
Ireland Policy on Diversity and Inclusion in Sport: Change, Communication, Access, Capacity, Leadership.
The further investment will support Archery Ireland to enhance all aspects of diverse participation in sports across the DAF Programme target areas.
