IWA Blackheath Championships

Venue Drewstown House Athboy Co Meath

Thirty Five entrants for this shoot which was down on last year by over 50%which is a pity as the venue is ideal for archery. The venue was the walled garden at DrewstownHouse which seems to have its own micro climate i.e windy outside and calm on the inside. The weather in general was showery and brought home the need to be well prepared in relation to shelter.

Congratulations to John Cairns on taking the IWA Championships, while Stuart Wilson took the Blackheath side of affairs.

A big thanks to Tony Mc Loughlin for looking after the Field Captain duties as always,a great job.

Thanks to Jim Conroy,,Eugene Murray,Gearoid Quinn,Richard D’arcy for setting out the field and to John Baille for  providing the venue.
