All Ireland National Series Ulster

The fourth leg of the All Ireland series took place in Boucher Road Playing Fields, hosted by City of Belfast Archers, on 29/30th June.

Saturday saw 41 archers compete in a variety of styles (including longbow) and distances. The weather was warm and there was very little wind, perfect shooting conditions.

Day 1 saw Mark Nesbitt and Suzanne O’Hare take the spoils in the Open and Ladies recurve section. With Jordan Mitchell and Jo Ann Bell taking  the compound sections. Jordan shot an amazing 1385

Day 2 was a little windier, yet that didn’t stop Keith Hanlon shooting 2 new Irish records! 339 for 36 arrows and 675 for the 72. Keith and Suzanne O’Hare took the recurve sections, while Stuart Wilson and Deirdre Rogers won their respective compound sections.

We would like to thank the judges and all the volunteers that helped with the setting up and taking down of the range.

City of Belfast will now be prepared for the 6th leg of the series which shall also be held at Boucher Road at the end of August.
