Blackheath Valentines Shoot

The venue was the IWA Sports Centre in Clontarf,37 participants  out of a possible 40 places so we deem that to be a good turn out.

The competition format was 120 arrows on 3 spot faces unless a 40 cm was requested.

A big thanks to Tony Mc Loughlin the Field Captain,Ted Murphy prizes, and all the Blackheath members who did their bit to make the day enjoyable.

A Special mention for Mel Lawther who shot really well to take the overall with a very good score of 1148 out a possible 1200.A worthy mention for Megan Bryer who at the age of eleven won the junior section with a score of 837 on a 40cm at 18 meters one for the future.

Keep your eye on the calender of events for the IWA Championships which again will be held in the walled garden at Drewstown House Athboy Co Meath in July 2013.
